Editorial policy
The standard is a recoverable record, a useful contribution, and language precise enough to survive scrutiny.
Finding first
Each substantive article should answer or frame its main business question promptly. The opening distinguishes the finding from the evidence and the uncertainty. A reader should not need to cross a long preamble to learn what the public record establishes.
Evidence labels
Verified facts, attributed claims, calculations, third-party observations, and editorial inference are different forms of evidence. Military Contractor labels them accordingly. A company statement remains a company statement unless another record establishes it.
- A ceiling is not automatically an obligation.
- An obligation is not automatically an outlay or contractor revenue.
- A prototype is not automatically a production decision.
- A test is not delivery, acceptance, or fielding.
- Backlog, sales, cash, margin, and profit answer different questions.
Review and correction
Articles are checked for source recovery, internal consistency, date and fiscal-period context, link integrity, safety, conflicts, and unsupported claims. Automated tools may assist with research organization and validation; editorial approval remains a human responsibility.
Material factual errors are corrected in place and accompanied by a visible correction note explaining what changed. Minor copy edits that do not change meaning do not require a note.
Safety boundary
Coverage stays at the business, acquisition, financial, policy, and publicly documented industrial level. The publication will not seek or publish classified, controlled, export-controlled, procurement-sensitive, proprietary, personal, vulnerability, targeting, or operationally harmful information.
