Policy scope

Military Contractor publishes no sponsored articles and provides no public sales or submission channel. This policy establishes the disclosure and independence controls that would apply before any paid material could appear.

The disclosure

Every paid placement uses the exact primary label Sponsored Content. The label appears on every teaser, immediately before the article headline, above the fold on the article page, and in social or metadata descriptions when needed to prevent confusion. It remains attached when the placement is distributed or republished.

The label must be readable, high-contrast, and individually associated with the placement at desktop and mobile widths. This implements the transparency and placement principles in the Federal Trade Commission's native-advertising guidance.

What payment buys

Payment could purchase advertising space, not an editorial opinion. Sponsored content is labeled, and its claims must be supportable. No publication, organic profile, ranking, list position, award, favorable conclusion, or suppression of critical coverage can be purchased.

Editorial control and separation

Military Contractor may fact-check, edit, reject, correct, or remove sponsored material. Sponsors do not control independent editorial coverage, and payment does not guarantee favorable future coverage. A sponsoring company or executive may still be selected for independent, critical reporting elsewhere.

Acceptance and safety

Military Contractor may reject material that is deceptive, unverifiable, unsafe, classified, export-controlled, procurement-sensitive, proprietary, operationally harmful, or otherwise inappropriate. Sponsorship never relaxes source, media-rights, correction, disclosure, or safety standards.

Links and search engines

Every compensated link is automatically rendered with rel="sponsored nofollow noopener noreferrer". Military Contractor does not sell links that pass ranking authority or promise search performance. This treatment follows Google Search Central's guidance for paid links.

Placement and correction

Sponsored work does not enter Latest Analysis, editorial recommendations, related coverage, rankings, or other organic-selection modules automatically. If it appears beside editorial work, it must be individually labeled and visually distinct. Sponsored content remains subject to correction, disclosure updates, and removal when its evidence or policy compliance fails.
